It's true! I'm alive!
Well, it's been about 5 months since I've last posted here, since the start of the Ohio Roller Girls season. I had no intention of letting knitting go quite so far by the wayside, but it seems it happened nonetheless.
While roller derby hasn't really let up very much (we have our first travel game in Minneapolis in November) I have somehow found time to knit again. Yay!
Last night, I actually finished a project! We last saw these socks in February. Sheesh. Last night, I not only finished the second sock, but snapped some photos too:
While I am good at impersonating a Barbie doll's feet, that's not me. When the downtown Lazarus store went out of business, I purchased a knee-high mannequin leg for a mere $5, for just such an occasion as this. But I can still model too:
Project: Rib and Cable Socks from Interweave Knits (but I turned the cable into a wide rib)
Yarn: KnitPicks Simply Stripes from my secret pal a while back
Needles: Size 2 Brittany Birch
And now, behold...what's this in the bedroom of my new apartment?
We'll find out soon. I promise. It's a gift, so I can't be too much longer on it.
