Last FO of the year?

It's Trellis from knitty, for my sister's upcoming munchkin. I started this in September in jury duty, misread the directions on the first three pieces, ended up having to rip back and re-knit the tops of all of them. Sigh. But, it's done now.

A lot of seaming, and we all know how much I loathe sewing on buttons, but I did it, and it's on it's way to Florida right now.

By chance, this is made out of the leftover yarn from the Great American Aran Afghan that I knitted for my sister and her husband as a wedding gift, so that's kind of a cool tie-in. I didn't plan it that way, I just like cables in this color I guess.

Thor's sweater

This one is for my friends the Bim's, who will be welcoming their boychild Thor (or possibly Beowulf)* in late December. The sweater is Suss cotton, but still kind of cuddly.

I left off the 3 beads the pattern called for since I didn't want any baby swallowing foreign objects on my conscience, and I like it well enough without any of the beads I had in my stash.

Pattern is the placket neck pullover from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. Super quick knit (it's in the round) and kinda fun too.

*Not the impending little one's real intended name, BTW. It's just that we're a kooky lot.

Ballet T-shirt from Loop-d-Loop

Way back when, I tried the Ribbon X-back pattern from knitty out of Rowan Cotton Tape. Disaster ensued.

Late this summer, I decided I had just enough of the yarn to do this t-shirt. I actually ran a bit short, and had to do the whole bottom with a single strand, whereas the top is double-stranded. That works out kind of nicely though.

I love this pattern and would like to remake it in a different yarn, just because this didn't turn out super-fab. For example, the paired decreases seem slightly off center to me. But I still like it, and it's exceedingly comfy.

Plus, I get to make this high fashion model pose. What's up with that?
